Why should they get such lucrative bonuses anyways?
Why not give bonuses to the people doing all the dirty work instead of those at the top who are just skimming the cream anyways?

The claim, and it is false, is that they could start their own companies and compete. Well, screw it, let them. Executive compensation has gotten out of control.
Their loyalty is to a. the bottom line for the quarter/year/whatever, and b. meeting the criteria to maximize their own bonuses; long-term health and stability of the business itself be damned.
Does it really surprise anyone that the favorable view of socialism, or at least socialized health care, is on the rise when things like this get out into the public view?
Did I wake up and FR became DU overnight? Didn’t think I’d see attacks on capitalism here or people advocating “for the workers” which seems like a plank right out of the Bernie campaign.
