The letter was heartbreaking as it recounted the death of an 88-year-old woman in a New York nursing home. But it was also angry and accurate about a strange New York policy that is fatally wrongheaded.
“I am wondering who will hold Gov. Cuomo accountable for the deaths of so many older people due to his reckless decision to place covid19 patients in nursing and rehabilitation homes,” the letter began. “I am writing as a daughter who lost her beautiful 88 year old mother who was receiving physical therapy at one such facility.” . . . .
Mullin had another complaint, too — that the media never asked the governor about an order mandating that nursing homes admit and readmit patients who tested positive for the coronavirus, despite the extraordinary number of deaths among the elderly.

No. Democrats are never held accountable for their stupid sh__. All they do is blame it on Trump.
My biggest thought is, in such places, the virus is probably spread through the AC/ Heating unit, much like the Legionnaire’s disease was.
They went back to the nursing homes because they didn’t know where else to put them. Certainly not defending that.
What this story tells me is that the state of New York has absolutely no journalists left. For if there was even one, that question would have been posed the very day that insane (yes, insane) policy was implemented.
Instead, if it’s a policy proposed by a Democrat, well, can’t question that, can we? The absence of a responsible press is getting people killed.
Same thing is happening in Jersey. One of the facilities I visit as a hospice chaplain has 73 covid-19+ patients with 9 deaths. I last visited that facility at the end of March and I felt for sure it would the virus was there and would be rampant there before this is over. It is one of the reasons my GP has told me I must do only telehealth visits, going into Nursing Homes is too dangerous for me with the underlying conditions I have.
Were covids sinisterly put in nursing homes all while Trump hospital beds were open? And was such to make it look like Trump hospital beds were not being filled and therefore useless? These are the golden questions!

NJ’s Nursing home deaths account for almost 50% of the entire State’s number. This is being shamefully unreported. The entire country is locked down because of retirees and those that can’t care for themselves.
