To: old curmudgeon
The solution is easy. Go back to work.

I fear it's too late for that. Thousands of businesses have shuttered. They're dead. There's no bringing them back now. No jobs. No place to go back to work. It will take years to dig ourselves out of this. I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, might as well give up. I mean, what else are we gonna do? We HAVE to have big daddy government save us all. Rolls eyes...

The country will survive. It will not take long to get going again.

However, like after a big battle....the battle has been won but there are many dead.

In this case, the “dead” will be the many individual businesses. Your favorite barber shop, bar, neighborhood grocer, clothing store and many many others.

The owners will survive by going to work for someone that made it unscathed.

The California crazies brought this on themselves. Too bad so many of the rest of us got sucked in the storm they caused.

The only bright side, if there is one, is that the law of unintended consequences is now punishing the bureaucrats that thought one world was a great idea.
