New COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania have stabilized, but the statewide stay-at-home order will remain in place through May 8, Gov. Tom Wolf announced Monday afternoon. The order originally was set to expire April 30.
Additionally, curbside pickup is now available at 176 state liquor sales a move that will help state officials determine whether curbside pickup can be expanded safely to other businesses currently closed by the pandemic.
Wolf said several coronavirus-related restrictions will be relaxed next month. Online car sales and some limited construction will be permitted beginning May 8. He called them the first "small steps" toward a return to normalcy.
"I want to caution that this is not going to be resuming operations as they were in February," Wolf said. "We still do not have a vaccine. We still do not have an antibody test, and we still do not have a way to cure COVID-19."
The announcement came as protesters outside the state Capitol called for an end to the shutdown.

I think Ramadan starts in a couple of days. Let’s see what happens if the Mosques fill. Watch the cowards do nothing if that happens.
The bastard is bald. He doesn’t care if the rest of us get a haircut or not.
Hes not gonna let everyone out until there is a vaccine.
They're already reducing compliance. We are hearing and seeing more traffic, and most people are not wearing masks out in public. While out walking in a state park today, we saw small groups that we suspect arranged to meet at the park, since they were grousing aloud about being home with family. People were chatting in the parking lot without masks. . .
It’s 58 to 42 don’t open yet. The protestors are the advanced guard.
A member of our community who works in Philadelphia keeps reporting that compliance is poor there already. Lots of youngsters hanging out, no masks, etc. People have been pretty compliant in the suburbs, but it's dropping off. People are out walking, biking, etc. The latest mask edict is mostly being ignored except maybe in stores, since they can refuse service.
Agreed. Most Pennsylvanians aren't inclined to protest in Harrisburg. That doesn't mean they agree with the Gov. We're outside Philadelphia, and we're already seeing hospital workers furloughed for lack of volume. Word will get around and people aren't stupid.
Yep.
May 1 is when things are going to start to get ugly
People around America are sick and tired of this BS - its gone on for too long already
“Pennsylvania needs to isolate from NY/NJ.”
And from Philly, now.
The Schuykill and Octarara rivers form great natural boundaries....easily enforced at bridges.
And the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) and Antifa will seize the opporunity.
Black masks and red flags are coming.
“The Schuykill and Octarara rivers form great natural boundaries....easily enforced at bridges.”
There you go.
There should be conop plans to quarantine every major regions.
Aye
But the only thing the Commie can think of is literally masking the problem.
One-size-doesn't-fit-all masking mandates just hides faces, not the Acela corridor issue.
BTW my mask says F.U. Wuhan
Hope that triggers a few libturds.
Ping.
And what we really need are white on red MAGA masks and Gadsden flag logo masks.
That will make them zhit.
