I think the main point of this story is to set the narrative that she’s capable of being the next dem nominee.
I don’t think “rising star” describes her...”Glowing-floater-who-won’t-flush” is more descriptive. What a fascistic tyrant. I believe her thought processes and her shriveled brain’s logic center are both severely damaged.

There are a great many cabins/cottages in Michigan north of Flint. And a great many are owned by members of UAW and NEA unions, = D’rat.
And they can’t use their motorized fishing boats, either. That hit a lot of retired UAW and NEA folks, too.

I live in Michigan. I’ll believe she’s “caved” when the 14-hour stores return to 24 hours and don’t count people as they come in, and aren’t fencing off aisles because the State says (under whatever pretext) that furniture and plant seeds spread the Chinese Wuhan Virus.
I live on a canal on Lake St Clair, a lot of my neighbors have the boat parked in the water, but it’s forbidden to use them because of social distancing at the boat ramps they don’t use.
2 Weeks ago the lake was full of boats on the sunny day. Since we’re stuck at home let’s fish as there is natural social distancing on the water. Too cold for party boating.
I’m from Michigan and I hear nothing but contempt for her. Even before the virus lockdown she was unliked. She ran on “fixing the damn roads,” which she didn’t do.
Also, when visiting healthy friends and relatives in the same city no longer puts one in danger of a four-figure fine.
Yeah, as long as I’m shopping for “essentials*” I can go out amongst a lot of strangers of uncertain health status**, but I can’t go visit friends or babysit for them so THEY can do their shopping.
*including, as has been mentioned, alcohol and lottery tix, i.e. State Revenue Devices
**People in masks and rubber gloves scream “unclean! unclean!” to me.
