Why would you use a mixture of chlorquine and hydroxychloroquine? There are no evidence other than those compounds act through the same mechanism, but hydrochloroquine is the more active compound against SARS-CoV 2. However, clinical experience has shown that chloroquine has more side effects. So, again why mix the two?

They are not. Bad writing. There are separate trials with chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine.

BTW, a small hospital in my NJ hometown is giving hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin as an initial order to patients unless contraindicated. I got this from my HS girlfriend that works there as an RN. I posted this in a vanity and got flamed for not naming the hospital other than being in North Jersey or her name. Freepers can be tough.
