I remember from the 40s/50s of quarantines because of measles or such.
If one had already had the disease, they were allowed to leave.
All I ‘remember’ of Polio was ‘March of Dimes’ and pictures of kids in Iron lungs not sure if any quarantines involved.
I do know that when AIDS sprung up that eventually infected people were allowed to go about normally and handle food.
Having grown up in the measles/mumps/polio etc it did seem strange to see the ‘freedoms’ that AIDS ‘carriers’ were allowed.

AIDS is pretty hard to get. If you are doing something that can give you AIDS, I think you would know it!
