Have a funeral this Saturday for Firefighter who died of virus
Because of restrictions will line up our fir apparatus at funeral home and follow the hearse to cemetery where will

I used to see lots of those Arlington funerals. Horse drawn caisson, the whole shot. The parking lot of the Fort Myer dispensary was right next to their assembly area.

My Dad was buried there in 2005. Veteran of WWll, Korea, 2 tours in Vietnam. Master Sergeant, Army. The 21 gun salute and taps will break you down.

A WWII vet neighbor passed away when I was away in February. His services have been postponed until the pandemic passes. This funeral was most likely scheduled before the lockdowns. Typically there’s a several month delay between death and Arlington burial. Also, IIRC there aren’t any in-ground burials between December and April.
