Fine, provide me with a N95 mask, the only kind that can actually prevent me from getting ChiCom Flu. These home made cloth masks do nothing to stop you form getting it.

Look to Dictator Cuomo to say one thing and all these idiot Governors nearby to do the same a day or so later.

And you will be taking that N95 mask from a Hospital worker than desperately needs it. And if it hasn’t been fit to you and you have not been trained in how to wear it it will do you no good anyway. Hospital workers undergo yearly fit tests to be sure the mask fits properly and is worn properly

They help you a bit. More importantly, they protect store clerks and other workers from infection. At the least, a mask keeps sneezes from spreading. Grocery store clerks are being infected, and several have died. Imagine if these minimum-wage workers decided the job isn't worth the risk. If grocery stores aren't staffed things could get unpleasant fast. The same goes for a lot of other essential businesses. Already, meatpacking plants are shutting down. Until everyone actually knows they aren't infected, each of us has a duty to do their bit to protect others.

Clearly you do not get liberalism. This is symbolism over substance. The mask order has nothing to do with limiting the spread of the virus. It has everything to do with making the fearful believe the state is doing something as well as exercising the power of making every citizen perform a marginally meaningless task just for the sake of exercising power.

I wonder how the governor's imposing mask orders would respond to people who opt for kkk hoods as their choice of mask.

Masks ans Gloves

Three reasons to wear a mask and gloves.
1. Protect the wearer from infection from others who are ill.
2. Protect other’s from the wearer who is I’ll.
3. Comply with the edict.

1 & 2 assume everyone is contagious. Guilty before proven innocent.
#3 reveals the fascists among us. Fearpers.

Well, it’s not really about stopping you from getting it. It’s more about people that are contagious from spreading it. Anything that inhibits the spread of droplets carrying the virus helps. ...doesn’t have to be perfect.

I do have issue with making this an “order”. Just “urgently request” it, people will comply due to social pressure. Making it an “order” is out-of-bounds, wreaks of tyranny.
