Instead of extending worker permits, they should have all been canceled! Buy American, Hire American should be the key words for any American employer as we now experience millions, likely tens of millions of unemployed Americans. There is no way any employer in the US can say there is not an available American to fill any job opening in the US. Current H-1B and other visa workers should be employed in reverse roles, training their American replacements.

I doubt we can undo the visa extension, and I'd love to see how President Trump explains this. How he reconciles enabling American companies to rehire and employee cheap foreign labor over unemployed American workers.

I'm an unemployed IT worker and know many others equally unemployed IT workers while companies sit happy replacing us with cheap foreign labor.

What can we do? The deck is stacked against us when an employer is given government sanction to hire cheap foreign labor over Americans. President Trump talks well on the topic, yet acts to undermine this same talk. Since Democrats support open borders, this is not a campaign issue, as both welcome these cheap foreign workers.

I would love to hear how President Trump is going to honor his Buy American, Hire American talk with some real action to make sure these H-1B and other cheap foreign labor do not get American jobs as our American companies re-open in the coming weeks and months.

Your thoughts and suggestions? How do we get action, not just meaningless words? How do we make Buy American, Hire American real?

What is it with this piecemeal crap on immigration?

This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

H1-B’s may well have been the price we pay for 10s of millions of doses of chloroquine to save lives.

(But Kushner already defending and looking to expand it for his Big Tech pals, so has talked Trump into some of the old arguments.)
