Especially NYC rats. Anybody who had a night out on the town in NYC knows the uneasy feeling of walking out of the restaurant late at night and seeing the dark shadows of the big rats scurrying down the alleys and along the sidewalks.
It's often said there are more rats than humans in NYC. Probably true but who volunteers to do a rat census?

Before the Virus, I used to go jogging in the evenings. Fairly frequently, I would run into rats running around and rummaging through the garbage merchants had left out for pickup.
