Science based on reason is better than emotional, tribal, ganja-brain nonsense. But reason is just a tool. Collectivism is based on reason, too. Its premise--that human nature can be changed--is false. To be helpful, reason must be working from a premise that is true.
What's true is 1) man has a specific, describable nature; and 2) man's nature is flawed by Original Sin.
That's why only Constitutionalism, which acknowledges a) human nature, b) the Common Law based on it, and c) the God Who created it, will work--but only, as Franklin warned us, "if you can keep it."
