Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of the White House task force, said he’s “humble enough” to realize that other solutions to stem the spread of the coronavirus exist other than to shut down the economy, but said that was the “choice we made.”
Fauci was asked during an appearance on Fox News’ “Watters World” about critics who said closing the economy led to Americans’ losing their jobs and their livelihoods.
“We felt at the time and still do now that that was the right thing to do. Could there have been other approaches? I mean I’m humble enough to know that maybe there could be,” he said on the Saturday evening show. “That was the choice we made. Based on the information that we have, one can always second guess.

A truly humble man is generally concerned that he is not humble enough.

At this point, what difference does it make? So lies were told and omissions all to blame Trump, so what, can't we all get along?
Humble would have been to admit that, medically, he does not have all of the answers.
Humble would have been to acknoweldge that his solitary focus on innoculation was not the entire, or even a very good answer.
If it’s true that medically treating this just as though it was ARDS has been killing people, then there is even more room for humility.
Did he conduct double blind tests of social distancing before he recommended it?

I didn't realize it didn't take "humility" to realize that. Common sense would work.
