I heard one of the streams of talking heads yesterday bemoan Americans sheepishly accepting these encroachments.
He didn’t specify what action he thought we should all have taken, but he seemed pretty comfortably settled into his fine office.
Anyone who thought the nationwide surge in new firearms and ammo was intended in defense of toilet paper might wanna reconsider what’s really going on in Americans’ minds. Not wildly overreacting, but not blindly accepting either.
What’s funny is the Left uses Karen against conservatives when everyone know the truly obnoxious are liberals.

“Becky” is the girl who Beyonce thought wanted to take away her husband. The line in a song was “Becky with the good hair,” so people who wanted to racialize things wrongly assumed that “Becky” was white and applied it to young white women in general. I guess “Becky” and “Karen” are in competition, but “Karen” is more specific and may have more staying power. There’s a generational aspect, too - “Karen” is over 35 or so, and “Becky” is considerably younger than that.
That model has not failed. We're all gonna die...it's just a matter of when and how.

I’ve long called Leftists neoPuritans. All the same fanaticism, intolerance, moral certainty, humorlessness and sheer zealotry is right there on full display. These are the same killjoys who banned dancing and maypoles and football as well as other sports and who tried to ban Christmas when they managed to take power in England.
They’re just so convinced they hold a monopoly on morality as well as intelligence and to disagree with their dogma in any way is an act of bad faith on your part. New England is the cancer that infects the American soul. Its a pity they didn’t stay in England instead of crossing the pond.

The seeds thing is completely ridiculous. Gardening is the ultimate social distancing activity — performed mostly alone and on your own property. I grew up where we ate mostly from our garden about 3/4 of the year. Now is the time to plant. If seeds aren’t in soon, there is no garden for the year.
This is food, we’re talking about. There’s a very disturbing Nazi quality to what’s been going on.
