I’m kind of on the fence about “accidental escape” vs. “planned release”. Leaning more toward deliberate action. Personal opinion at this particular moment is that they may have deliberately infected their own people, knowing that because of the Chinese New Year celebrations, they’d be traveling to the U.S., Europe, Iran, etc.
If that’s what happened, the degree of monstrosity in that govt. is almost incomprehensible.

How convenient they started shutting down Wuhan 2 days after people started heading back home around the world, very thoughtful of the CCP to throw a dinner with 40,000 people before sending everyone off.
It’s not at all incomprehensible. Mao deliberately starved 45M of his own people by trading rice and wheat harvests to the USSR for weapons to keep his lard-ass and those of his cronies in power. Killing a few thousand is nothing to this bunch off inbred psychopaths.
