Because at best, Trump is barely in control of most agencies including DOJ. State is a nest of resistance. CIA and FBI have an unblinking eye aimed at him. The military has been in a constant state of rebellion. Hell the NSC launched the impeachment farce from INSIDE the White House. And Barr and the DOJ claim they are “independent” of the Chief executive and indeed, stand above him.
The Senate **only barely** did not remove him.
Trump has no “wingman” as Holder elegantly put it.
Trump is there to buy you time to prep. You either have 1 year or 5. make the best of it as it will be a “come as you are” party.
