I have a cat that does that. Even looks around to make sure I’m not nearby before he pushes stuff off the counter. Caught him doing the looking about via a video camera.
He was shocked when I came out of nowhere with the spray bottle already going!
The moral? Don’t leave your lunch on the counter if you work in a biomedical lab.
