and let me also point out, most (by far) of the people like big kahuna, are desperate with fear right now over this phantom threat, but most likely NEVER governed themselves even remotely like this due to the flu. I call it the 'Taxi Dancer' technique: Those blessed with analytical abilities and common sense shed/transcend their normal desire to embrace truth. Rather, channeling an inner Machiavelli, those who can see the full picture encourage those obsessed with panic porn to strive for even more stringent measures. Reason?
Here's a hypothetical situation - pan film noir: Someone is to try to hang a frame on you, but in the meantime, they are going to grant you unlimited police powers. Question: Do you meekly acquiesce to the set-up and take the fall, or do you use the abilities your enemies have for some reason granted you to reverse the situation?
Why is that no one is focusing on the fact that Trump, enabled by the sanction granted by two MD experts, issued a national security emergency declaration giving him sole authority to act in the "national interest"? That means essentially no congressional nor judicial oversight while acting without restraint as a (semi) dictator.
Is Trump so pure and virtuous that he wouldn't heed the advice of "never let a crisis go to waste"? What would an average man off the street have done if given just 20 minute to think about his options? Now, what about a street smart player from NYC?
Well, how about this for starters:
- border controls - travel restrictions - moderated sanctuary states - re-homed domestic production - import tariffs - lower oil prices - undeclared cartel operations - $8-10T to invest/re-direct US economy
Here's some math for those less inclined to really think this through:
- 2 trillion CV bill - 4 trillion Fed reserve window - 2 trillion infrastructure bill - 2 trillion China reparations (TBD)
$10 trillion dollars divided by 100 million Americans comes out out to $100k each. Is anyone getting the picture yet? Trump has so much money, so much buffer, that he can let the current lock down last for months, while still maintaining the ability to pay everyone off ie make whole.
So, guess who's going to begin screaming about re-opening the country? Who's gonna begin going on about "muh backward slope"? LOL Shit people, have a little faith.

We’ve been needing ASAP to get antibody testing to best estimate how many in the US are INFECTED WITH CV to get a % of fatalities as a % of those infected. With the flu, the death rate of those infected averages about 0.1%. This preliminary antibody study from a hard-hit area of Germany found the real CV fatality rate of those infected is 0.37% (about 4x more than the flu). As more antibody tests are done this number will probably decline further. Keep in mind that 90% of CV deaths are over the age of 75 with pre-existing conditions.

BERLIN — The preliminary findings of an antibody study by German virologists published on Thursday indicates a covid-19 fatality rate of 0.37 percent, information expected to inform government decision-making about lifting restrictions.
The study by researchers at the University of Bonn involves testing 1,000 individuals in the hard-hit district of Heinsberg in northwestern Germany in an attempt to ascertain the number of people who have been infected without realizing it.
The preliminary findings were based on results from 509 individuals, the researchers said in a news conference on Thursday.
Some 14 percent of the sample had antibodies for the disease, and an additional 2 percent had current infections. A death rate of 0.37 percent is well below the 3.4 percent case fatality rate cited by the World Health Organization last month and at the lower end of the 0.3 to 1 percent range that has been estimated by scientists.
A series of antibody studies are being carried out in Germany, involving about 100,000 people. The studies are considered key to the government’s risk assessment as it decides whether to lift restrictions on daily life. Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that unless a vaccine is developed, she expects 60 to 70 percent of the population to be infected before what is known as “herd immunity” is reached.

Trump is a once in a lifetime phenomenon. I believe he and his buddies whose names we would never recognize have been planning these changes for 20 years. Trump came to office with a blueprint. Nobody could effect this stuff on the fly.

Do you have any synapses? I have written on how we lost our entire Spring Seasons for Fairs and a fair chunck of money. We were literally sitting in our vehicles going out the gate when word of cancellations came through. That is not fear... that is being forced.
That being said, since my wife and I are over 60 and suffer a few of the co-morbidities, we did not want to catch this trick disease as it manifests in several different ways.
And yes, I do have vendor friends that have come down with the Wuhan. One came off easy, the other not so easy. They were around 45 and in relatively good health.
We think there is another that passed in Sacramento.
