That does not explain the change. The timing thing was baked in, the model has always assumed that social distancing, "the measures," would be followed. The time-lag benefit was included in the model.
When the model was introduced, it was a huge decrease from the "if no social distancing" assumptions.
Some aspect or asepcts of the models is changing, and the doctors are not being forthright about it. I know math is hard, but they are losing credibility with thier nonsense "explanations."
A million if we don't act, 100,000 if we act fully and agressively. That was the starting point.
All I said was that it was a fair question, and a fair answer.

I think the math principles are sound. What I question is the assumptions and variables. Is the disease less deadly? Less transmissible? What changed?

Well of course the “math” is fine. It’s all about the variables. That’s the whole point; the assumptions, that are unknowable in most cases, is what makes the whole thing bunk and they know it!
She does not like him and she doesn't support him. She and Bill Hemmer were a tag team of Trump haters. In the present Pandemic, she leads the morning efforts to fan the fires to scare the shit out of the American people.
