Watergate was no massed deep state cover up to begin with...just a bunch of bumbling actors trying to see what the dem’s were up to and they got caught burgling. Nixon didn’t authorize the break in but he tried covering it up. He probably would have suffered some political damage had he just immediately co-operated with authorities and refused to try to cover for anyone but he still would have won the presidency. I think he should have double dog dared the congress and senate to impeach and remove him since the fall election season was coming around and the republicans might not have fared so badly as they feared.

That’s the point...the Warren Comission findings (not the official final briefings) but the records and transcripts and other findings that were not made public were kept under seal for 50 years. When the 50 years were up in 2017-18, Trump by request by the CIA still would not allow the records to be made public. You don’t do that unless there was a bunch of sideways info about the JFK case that some living souls to this day did not want to let out. I think the guy who shot him did do the shooting....but there was so much more going on behind the scenes. It could be a lot of ancillary info that turned up that while not being fully germane to the case, nevertheless, would have caused a lot of damage to a lot of people....like threads to a carpet...when you start pulling the whole carpet gets destroyed.

This guy is an alarmist at best. There are ways of saying everything he’s said in a less panicky worthy way.

A vaccine will return things to normal.

“Covid” is Hebrew/Yiddish for “respect/adulation”. It seems that interests him inordinately. You’d think this is the first pandemic ever to happen, and he gets to direct us all through the tunnel that he’s just announced has no light at the end of it.

I’m thinking at some point we are going to have to build herd immunity... but we need to have a plan.

I'm sure there is a plan and it's been in place for months. Of course it's been modified along the way. Trumps back and forth with Fauci - all part of buying time while we get our resources up to speed.

Trump has much more information than we know. He knows China's role in this which may be much more nefarious than what you read in the NYTimes. He knows the real projections based on alternatives. Some of that information might bring us into a war or other countries into war. Trump does nothing without information. The other day when he asked the reporter if she worked for Chinal. LOL He already knew she did.

Nuclear war is a contradiction in terms to say the least. No one has ever fought one. Dropping two atomic bombs on two undefended cities can hardly be called nuclear combat. And Chernobyl , though caused by an over heated reactor core was more of an accident than something done deliberately.

I think Trump actually asks him to talk.

Trump’s in a bad position having to rely on people.
He thought people were still human and loved America.
Boy was he wrong!

Fauci is enjoying this covid thing far too much.

One would almost suppose that he likes watching people die,
like Jack Kevorkian.

Thanks! I certainly thought they were benign. A little wordy and overly intellectual perhaps but accurate and not controversial.

Your welcome. Your observations is quit reasoned. I'm a big fan of the Presidents Team, and I don't see any problem with them. Pence has been very good.
Yea. Fauchi can be a little chatty. Maybe Trump has rubbed off on him. ;)That's a compliment to Trump by the way.

Pence has been great, as Trump himself has said.

When Pence stands by as Trump speaks he looks to me like a Praetorian prefect, ready to defend his commander at a moment’s notice, giving away nothing of his own mind through posture or facial expression. A general in his own right by way of loyalty and demeanor. And he’s done the job!

The bottom line is Trump is in charge of all of them and he makes that clear.

Exactly. There was a time when I thought we should leave this pandemic burn itself out but then I realized our hospitals and supplies and medication ventilators would be over run. That time is coming when we will get a leg up.

But then I now question whether the threat and numbers were contrived to destroy the Trump economy and make tons of money for certain insiders. Trillions of dollars are going somewhere and many American lives ruined.

NYC as Cuomo said has problems because it is a welcoming city meaning sanctuary to millions of foreign nationals illegals or otherwise that added poor people that couldn’t even speak English. NYC policy killed many people.

That would be national suicide.

If the nation did not die between 1930 and 1945, why do you suppose it would die in six months now?

If that's true, the nation, whats left of it, was a lot sicker than anyone imagined.
