SAN DIEGO Ever since COVID-19 began spreading in the San Diego community in early March, military leaders here have been challenged to balance their mission obligations with the need to protect the health of personnel.
Some service members and their families are questioning that balancing act. Theyre criticizing Navy leaders decisions and noting the variery of ways various units are responding to coronavirus outbreaks.

There’s a boatload of jobs on warships women can do well on warships.
Unfortunately, manning a fire hose, loading stores and operating the buffer are not among them. And at least a dozen other jobs.
And no navy can go to sea without them.
So it causes a great deal of resentment. And detracts from esprit de corps.
All hands - report to your safe spaces immediately!

We were there during Desert Storm and the media was full of fat blubbering navy wives and girlfriends pissing and moaning like no one ever told them about the war part of naval service.
We also had a few instant conscientious objectors who refused to go because they were only in it for the educational benefits.
There is not enough testosterone in that whole fleet to bring one boy to puberty now.

I think you do have a point. I have never served on a coed ship. When we went to sea it was as a brotherhood. Now, it would seem to be as a coed society, less manly, more tolerant
