The Fauci quote is worse. 6,000 doctors have said it works and this little prick says we have no reason to believe it does. The rep is just a another mental dwarf rat you can laugh off. Dr Fraud’s quote could cause people to die.
We know that Fauci is a big fan of Hillary Clinton. Does he think that if there is a huge death toll in the US, Hillary could beat Trump in November? Is he that cynical or is he just being overly cautious?

As a Dr. trained in science, he can't bring himself to say it is a cure because it has not underwent the usual scrutiny of numerous scientific studies, etc., etc. Not defending him, it is just how he looks at these things...
The basic principle of medicine is first, do no harm. This drug has been used for decades and does not even require a prescription in malaria infested areas.
In hospital treatment, it is safe for most people, although people with seriously impaired liver or kidney function would be counseled against it.
So in other words, there’s no harm to be done. It obviously helps, even if the 80-yr old Fauci (52 years as a government employee) probably hasn’t done a professional course for decades and is way behind the curve in his training, calls the data and studies from Europe and Asia “anecdotal.”
But even if he considers this anecdotal, why not let docs use it, because it may help and it doesn’t hurt.
