Could be totally unrelated but my husband was really sick back in January (I’ve posted it on FR before, his symptoms mirror COVID-19)
He wasn’t tested for anything, his doctor said had fluid in lungs so prescribed him z-pack, inhaler & said to take combo of echinacea/zinc & vitamin c
He recovered but weeks later..said it was the worst flu/cold he’s ever had.
Zinc ascorbate is the zinc version of vitamin C
