The Governor’s orders to stay home was extended to May 4th. University modelling says we will hit our peak infections around April 19th going the way we are (with most everything shut down).

My wife and I help out a couple of neighbors and grandma. I’ve tried to get them to buy more at the store so I can skip a week, but they just don’t get it. And then of course the prescriptions. I have gotten them to make it work for just one day a week of running the errands - usually.

“.....Source or just speculation?.....”

Source. The company also said that they are implementing employee buyouts to reduce staff expenses. The Union will scream and people will be financially hurt.

Airbus has shut down production.

But the Boeing brand has been broken. It is not just the 737 Max, there are problems with 737 wiring to critical systems. There are problems with tools and things in the fuel tanks on other models (a problem that had been earlier solved, but reappeared). There is also a major problem with the military refueling tanker where the fueling boom needs a major redesign.

The current management team and Board of Directors are not up to the task of running the company. It took years for that to happen, but to turn it around will require something they don’t have.

in light of this, it is interesting to revisit trump’s responses to questions on boeing over the last few weeks. he’s focused on preserving the jobs of boeing employees. but when off the topic of boeing, he specifies that the 3rd bill was not to finance stock buybacks. i sense that he was probably aware of these and other boeing problems but could not say anything at the time. that could be just speculation on my part.
