I saw a photo of him when he came out of Downing Street to applaud the first responders and he did look very rough. I have been praying for his health.
My mother said she heard the British government waited until the Queen’s message was broadcast to hospitalize PM Boris. This was probably to prevent panic and show continuity of leadership. Queen had a great, reassuring message. She stepped up to the occasion and she looked great for a 94-year-old (birthday this month).
I am guessing this is at least somewhat serious as I doubt any leader would want the optics of being in a hospital when the medical system is under heavy strain. That and the of course there would be questions about how you govern from a hospital where visitors of any kind are not allowed for obvious reasons.

If that was intended as satire, then I apologize. You should clearly mark those kinds of comments with an “/s” to avoid confusion. There are way too many covidiots around here who post similar drivel, and who are not being satirical. I have had a few too many run ins with them and am getting a bit tired of their BS.

He was diagnosed as positive about a week ago...but I’m not sure what the treatment is there. So I’d say he’s probably gone through the worst of it but they’re worried about lower respiratory tract problems.
