Cuomo Stunner – New York may already be at apex of cases…(only 16k of 110k beds filled)
Press Conference ^ | 4/4/20 | Andy Cuomo

Posted on 04/05/2020 11:49:05 AM PDT by spacejunkie2001

Reporter asks ‘you are using only 16,000 beds, and you said you would need at least 110,000.’ As Tucker discussed Friday night, hospitalization rates nationwide are only about 15-20% of what the models predicted.

And with 75% of those who were previously in the hospital discharged, as he said today, they won’t come close to reusing the ones already used.

An update: I converted the dates for the CDC Flu study to standard dates for the start of the week for the data. The bad news is that the data only includes the Fall flu season (from 2019-09-30 to 2020-03-23) when the fall season ended. Still, it will be interesting to see the shape of the curve to that of COVID-19. I'll keep you updated...

One might think that you want more dead bodies and an economic depression.

Personally I’d like to see the Republic survive. And instead of mandatory vaccines, mandatory weight loss for all those whose lifestyle choices has them in the at-risk category

Right. Earlier would have been much preferred, but better late than never!

Without random testing, we literally have nothing but shock and awe.

Shock and awe is great for the government - for driving the herd into compliance, and for political blame games.

But we are supposed to be a self-governing people - and for that, we needed the truth, not condescension and worst case scenarios.

If you had a bottle of 50 identical-looking pills, and you knew that one of them was deadly poison; what would it take to convince you to swallow one?

Those 20-50 yr olds can catch the China virus, as well as anyone. If they are asymptomatic, they could be spreading the disease to a great many people, without even knowing it.

The next couple of weeks will tell the tale.

There are many areas where I disagree with Gov Coumo. In this case I have watched and carefully read what he has said and done. I think he has made the best of a bad situation caused primarily by Bill DiBlasio’s poor decision to encourage New Yorkers to go to Chinatown to celebrate Chinese New Year. We can agree to disagree. I would say the name calling ("Coumo Delecto") in debate is typically the sign of a failed argument.

The virus has had plenty to time to migrate all over the country

A bunch of us here in Central Texas have been comparing notes and it appears this Coronavirus stuff has already roared through here, back in December & January. A whole bunch of people came down with something that had all the signs of typical flu, but with an unusual nasty twist to it of respiratory problems. People choking up, having a hard time breathing. They didn't get a whole lot of help from doctors at the time, they just rode it out. I also remember a number of ambulance calls around the county back then where people having difficulty breathing were getting hauled off to the hospital. Friends in north Texas had something nasty like this back in November. What we have going on now is closing the barn door well after the livestock already got out.

He’s an idiot, an absolute a$$clown on just about every issue, including this one. And of course, the virus is eminently treatable with IV-C, IV-ozone, HCQ, zinc and proper blood levels of vitamins A, B1, C, D3 or some combination.

I had a regular checkup in early Feb. Full blood work. It would be awesome if they kept some blood so we could test it now, but I doubt they do

I hope and believe you and I are right.

As for me....After working closely with 2 California associates in December, I acquired a cough that would normally exit after a week or 2, but lasted for a very abnormal 2 months, accompanied by some days of very difficult breathing, and zero energy. Very odd for a dry cough and my 15 years of dealing with it.

Not to get too graphic, but my normal winter bronchial condition was clocklike and not dry. This cough was, with almost zero congestion & expectoration but I still couldn't breath. One shot of cortisone stopped the lung inflammation in hours.

Little doubt in my mind, looking back, which would be very, very good news.

If Ds and media (but I repeat myself) were not looking for a means to get Trump, this would be considered a "new flu. Look out."

DjT likes the idea of a 2nd corona ECONOMY task force to engineer a re-opening of this needlessly injured economy. The new ECON Force will--I predict and hope--strongly recommend we resume normal operations by Easter in many regions and May 1 everywhere else and he'll go for it, sharing responsibility and flak with Force2. This is a crucial political season, so I'll give him some slack to CYA.

I can see the idiots in VA and MI someting in mid June, “great news, by shutting down the state for 3.5 months we stopped COVID and saved 10 MILLION lives. Everyone can now get back to work!”

A few days later....Uh, why are all this “GOING OUT OF BUSINESS - EVERYTHING MUST GO!” signs going up all over the place. Guys, we said you could re-open and get back to work.

That’s absolutely true and of course, worse case of scenarios are used like hope, to get people to do what they need to do. If you don’t get people to stay home then NYC happens everywhere, and imagine if they didn’t clamp NYC down, what the hell would it look like then. Not to mention if your crazy enough to believe this is some sort of Democrat plot, why in the heck is the whole world doing the same thing?
