Someone really needs to let Joe Biden give this whole thing up already. He’s struggling so hard to be relevant from his basement and it’s just not working. Every time the media covers him there, he offers up another gaffe and more evidence that he’s not the right person for the job. Today’s entry was more than a bit bizarre. For some reason he seemed to believe that virus relief checks going out to help people whether the crisis were being held up because the president wanted to put his signature on physical checks. That is straight-up nuts. What’s even more bizarre was he was actually reading it. Most checks would be direct deposited. But no, Trump isn’t physically signing any of them. If he really believes that, there’s a big problem. No one is holding up checks but getting money out to all Americans can’t be done in a day. But if we want to talk about avoidable delay, let’s talk about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats who held it up for a week trying to get their pork and pet programs in. More
How is it possible for anyone to be this stupid? One of the hacks at the briefing just asked the president: “Do you want to sign the checks?” Sure, and he’s going to sign the direct deposits too. Your bank statement will show that the deposit came from “TRUMP.”

I’m surprised how many 30 year olds don’t know how to use their smart phone to do simple things, like use a pdf app to send me a pdf of a document that they sign.

I very much doubt that Mr. Biden has ever laid eyes on one of his own government check since the Direct Deposit method was enacted so many years ago. Perhaps he doesn’t truly understand how all the money ends up in his retirement check.

There was a segment on local Knoxville news a couple weeks ago about a woman who has started a vintage typewriter business in town. I think you can buy them, but it’s really to introduce younger computer-using generations to the older machines. They can come in, hang out, and type. They interviewed teenagers and older, and they love using them. Called it relaxing. I can’t remember the name. It was catchy. Not QWERTY, but something like that.

I could be wrong...it has happened...but I believe this is about the President wanting his (printed) signature to appear on the checks, which means printing a lot of new checks, which means a bit of a delay.
Personally I’d be happy to wait!
But this is what Biden’s talking about, not personal signatures handwritten on each check, clearly impossible.
