Using end-of-day data from worldometers (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ ) it is possible to calculate how the percentage of Covid patients that have RECOVERED per state.
Minnesota leads the Nation, with a 41.8% recovery rate
South Dakota is next, with 39.5% recovered, then,
District Columbia with 24.2% recovered,
North Dakota with 23.9%
The National average is 4.1% recovered.
New York is better than average with 7.3% recovered.
Michigan and Nevada are both near the bottom with 0.1% and 0.0% respectively
This data only relied on yesterday's end-of-day data because otherwise, so much of the data is constantly changing during the day.
MN is also the home of the Mayo Clinic, and tons of medical companies, so it is likely that the state has NOT been shy at using the new "cure" agressively.
It may be true that the Governors of Michigan and Nevada are responsible for some deaths for being overly cautious of the likely "cure" announced about two weeks ago.
So the rest died? Bull hockey.
Percentage recovered is UNRELIABLE number!
Our population is 325 million
We have tested 433,500
Which means we have tested 0.133% of population!
Since many covid-19 infections are asymptomatic, and many others are very mild often confused with a cold, all statics could be way off, by orders of magnitude.
I had wuhan in February. I need papers that verify that I am not contagious.
My mom is in hospice and needs to see me. I need to see her.
Unofficial US test count is 1.3 million according to Wiki.
So sorry to hear this! Are you recovered? Have you been retested, recently?
Have you had any lingering issues?
I saw a story, recently, about a Yonkers teacher who tested positive, in early March. She self isolated for THREE weeks. She had a retest...and, was still positive.
She said it’s like living a sci-fi movie :(
Prayers up...that you get to see your dear mom, soon.
This post is totally nonsenical. These numbers mean squat! The author has no idea what they are talking about. Zero.
Is it possible to get an antibody test showing you already had Covid?
I have not read anything about what criteria is used
to determined that people get classified as “recovered”.
18 deaths so far statewide. We’ve been very fortunate.
Scandinavian heritage?
5000 cases in Norway and Sweden
1500 in Finland
Yes it is possible, but is it available and does it do anything to allow the person to see their parent that is in a facility that probably won’t let anyone in regardless of status? All of the elderly care facilities are banning outsiders unless they are delivering something or are a medical professional.
I haven’t seen my father for 3 weeks - he has moderate-severe dementia, but as of the last time I saw him he remembered me. I wonder if he will remember me when I do finally get to see him again.
No they didn’t die. They still have it and haven’t recovered yet. And the vast, vast majority WILL recover.
Everyone who is confirmed to be recovered should be put back into the workforce - they can no longer become ill, nor infect others.
“not recovered” and “died” are not the same thing...someone can be ill and not recovered yet.
The reporting of recovered cases has been so incomplete and sporadic I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from it at this point.
I’m in rural Oklahoma. We haven’t even had enough cases yet to show recovery rates. Our day will be coming though, even if delayed from the rest of the nation.
MAGA
Woohoo! We’re #1! We’re #1!
You are correct I am sure, but it is still 0.4% of the entire population tested. Therefore we have no idea what is the situation with the other 99.6% of people.
Meaningless post.
