Isn’t this the only province in Spain that wasn’t conquered and enslaved by the muslims moors?
Andorra is an individual country or principality, much like San Marino.
I believe whoever is President of France automatically assumes the title “Prince of Andorra”.
Andorra is a seperate, soveriegn nation, and is not a part of Spain.
The whole northern coastal region of Spain was never conquered by the Muslims. In the late 8th century Charlemagne began to process of reconquest, adding the extreme northeastern part of Spain to his empire, but that area had been under Muslim rule for some decades.
