But be forewarned, it’s likely their culture of death is just on hiatus.

Indeed.

For whatever political reason, under the current pandemic the Big Thinkers all seem to believe that no expense should be spared to save each victim of the virus. Trashing the economy is worth it if it saves just one life.

But after the virus, I'm sure they will go back to "wise and thoughtful" ruminations about careful decisions that need to be made and how sometimes just "taking the pill" is the right way to go whether you like it or not.

These people have no actual principles. They only want what is expedient. And their sense of what is expedient changes from time to time.

The media will foment another hysteria next flu season, seeing how easy this one has been. They’re not valuing human life, they’re trying to make Trump look bad.

And...the past tense of “lead” is “led.”

Terri Schiavo took two weeks to die.
Any random human taken off the street given the same treatment would take two weeks or less to die.
It’s the maximum it takes for total organ failure from lack of hydration (Schiavo must have been very healthy physically).

What the Schiavo case showed us is that Americans don’t value human life. Decisions like hers are made everyday with “Living Wills”/medical directives. I’ve dealt with it for several years with elderly relatives. Anything happens and the first thing doctors try to get is permission to deny treatment.
