President Donald Trump on Friday signed a $2 trillion coronavirus rescue package that will result in individual checks being sent to Americans, loans going to small businesses and aid for industries hard hit by the coronavirus.
'We got hit by the invisible enemy and we got hit hard,' President Trump said during the signing ceremony at the Oval Office. 'I want to thank Republicans and Democrats for coming together, setting aside their differences and putting America first.'
The president joked about the package's trillion dollar price tag.
'I've never signed anything with a T on it,' he said.

I don’t care how much we have to spend on this. We just need to end this and get back to work.
Meanwhile, China Eastern Airlines was scheduled to re-start nonstop flights from their hub in Shanghai to San Francisco and also to Los Angeles.
Are these flights still on? If so, WHY?
They should be. Maybe everyone gets their temperatures taken evety half hour. I think they are too close in stage for the briefings, also.
And thus the experiment ends. The first time the Repubs went along completely with the Dems in forcing FedGFov action outside of the Constitution.
This, for whatever reason, has sent our household into a depression. We do not know why.
The trillion did not grow in washington’s garden... it was put there by taking it from the people... we give to foreign nations... it’s about time they give it back to the ones who grew that garden,, and man! that’s a lot of money..
Well ain’t we proud...

What you missed it: It’s not govt’s to TAKE
Therefore, as said, it’s not GOVTs to ‘give’ (foreign aid, nor ‘back’ to the People)
Course, too many, even after this bill is passed/signed, will continue to vote for the same people/party that economically enslaved not only them/theirs, but the masses.
You miss the point
The cash in needed today, right now.
Your high minded theoretical dogma is irrelevant in the current crisis.
Danegeld doesn’t come back. As it is, the Danes are coming are coming over here to collect it at the source!
Funny how the Dems need money all the time. And get it.
What are ya gonna say, a year from now, when all the usual suspects are back to moaning about polar bears, sexism, racism, rising sea-levels, Confederate statues, children in cages, the homeless, ad nauseum and demanding money for it? You gonna tell me they _aren’t_ going to get it? Ha!
A year from now there will be a new speaker and the howls you expect will be muffled into silence
I look forward to that day! But we’ll see about the howling! ;-)
Paul Ryan? Not as senile as Pelosi, but otherwise much the same.
Biden made mincemeat of Ryan in their debate. I mean how much do you have to suck for that to happen?
