Yes, but Kentucky has had Democrat governors for about 92 of the last 100 years. What appears to me to have happened is that Republican Bevin actually tried to fix Kentucky's very broken pension system, which ticked off the teachers and they defeated him.
Our pensions are so corrupt in a lot of states, whole systems are about to come crashing down.
Even in southern Illinois there were non stop ads against Gov Bevin.
It was a real shame to see him lose...
