I wouldn't know about that.

Although I did hear a doctor or two on television note that as he and others had observed the virus over the recent past, the virus looks rather "stable" (or whatever the proper word may be there).

You are incorrect on this view. The way hydroxychloroquine works to stop the virus reproducing is not step a virus can 'mutate' to avoid.

Hydroxychloroquine acts as an 'ionophore' to ferry zinc through the cell wall into the cell, where the zinc destroys the RNA / DNA REPRODUCTION STAGE PEVENTING THE VIRUS FROM COMANDEERING THE CELL FOR REPRODUCTION. Viruses must use a living cell to make more virons. The zinc destroys the RNA transfer process.
