Would recommend recovery of the amounts owing through two direct mechanisms, landing fees for Chinese aircraft, and a 10 to 20 per cent tariff on imported goods. They would have to come up with part of each levy to stay competitive, or in the case of the aircraft landing fee, wealthy Chinese would be paying on behalf of their commie government.

Taking them to court would take a long time and might never result in any payments within five or even ten years, if at all. So I would go for it more directly and immediately.

and if Canada did not enact the same provisions, or even if they do, extend the entry fee to land borders to prevent circumvention by landing in Canada or flying in from Europe or other countries.
