I believe the first coronavirus death in America happened on March 1st. Since then, 784 Americans have died because of the coronavirus.

During this same time period, how many Americans have died of the flu? I have not seen any daily tracking of flu deaths in the US.

(CNN)At least 1,300 people have died from the flu so far this season(2019), according to a preliminary estimate released Friday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There have been at least 2.6 million flu illnesses and 23,000 flu-related hospitalizations, according to the analysis.

CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 38 million flu illnesses, 390,000 hospitalizations and 23,000 deaths from flu.
