Gov. Hogan Slams NYC Mayor de Blasio for Blatant Lies About Coronavirus Response

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) on Sunday slammed New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for saying not enough is being done to combat the Wuhan coronavirus.

"I understand people out there are concerned about when is it going to look better. Just know that people all over the place are working as hard as they possibly can to fight this hidden enemy," Hogan explained. "And it's going to take all of us, not only local governments, the cities, like the mayor, the state governments, all the governors, the federal government."

According to Hogan, the Wuhan coronavirus impacts each and every person in the country, which is why the response needs to be coordinated on all levels of government.

"We don't know how long or how bad it's gonna be but it's going to continue until we get it stopped," the governor said. "We're just gonna keep fighting it 24-hours a day until we can get it done."

De Blasio completely disagreed with Hogan's assessment.

"It's not true that people everywhere are fighting with all they got because our military is being sidelined and the White House is in denial," de Blasio said. "It's just not true, governor. That's just not true."

"We got military all over our state doing all kinds of great things, like humanitarian missions, helping with hospitals–" Hogan retorted.

"You've got [the] National Guard. You do not have the American military," de Blasio said.

"–building new hospital beds," Hogan explained. "And your governor in New York is doing the same things so maybe you ought to talk to him and see."

De Blasio reiterated his previous point that not everyone is doing what they can to fight the virus.

He even gave a "kudos" for the administration's continual contact with the state.

Cuomo said he can tell when someone is "on it" and when they're not. He praised President Trump and his team for "doing everything that they can" to help states and local governments combat the virus.

There’s no logic with rancid New Yorkers of which the mayor is the worst, only ugliness. Meanwhile New Yorkers gave the flu to themselves via the judge (from the continuation of flights from the middle east despite the Presidents attempt to stop them) I expect they love. What a pathetic disgusting mess these people are.

Maybe DeBlasio can ask Mike Bloomberg or Rudy Giuliani to come back and fill in if he finds the job too overwhelming.

Democrats believe the military is a collection of lab rats for social engineering experiments.

They KNOW that no one with the intelligence to vote Democrat would enlist.

Every time I see a post where he is the main character, he is always waiting for the president to think for him. Another thread on here shows “Mayor Bill de Blasio has blamed President Trump for the city’s severe shortage of COVID-19 supplies even though City Hall didn’t secure its first order for emergency protective gear until March 6.” So basically he is totally incompetent and has to have someone to think for him. Voter him out NY!!

In looking at the past, it appears that Yellow Fever was one of the worst epidemics to hit the US in the 1828-1878.

Memphis, a city of 50,000, had six major Yellow Fever epidemics.
1828 First Yellow Fever epidemic 650 Cases 150 Deaths

1855 Second Yellow Fever epidemic 1250 Cases 220 Deaths

1867 Third Yellow Fever epidemic 2500 Cases 550 Deaths

1873 Fourth Yellow Fever epidemic 5000 Cases 2000 Deaths

1878 Fifth Yellow Fever epidemic 17000 Cases 5000 + Deaths

1879 Sixth Yellow Fever epidemic 2000 Cases 600 Deaths

Coronavirus has a LONG way to go to equal the YF death rates in 1878 Memphis.

In 1853 the city of New Orleans absorbed the loss of between one quarter and one fifth of its population in a Yellow Fever outbreak that began in the Crescent City and spread around the western Gulf coast ravaging towns such as Pass Christian, Ms. which believed itself to be immune from the Yellow Fever. Due to the large transient population in New Orleans as it was both a major port of departure for California via the Isthmus of Panama route and port of entry for the same the real numbers of deaths will never be known. A pretty good motion picture depiction of this event is in the early Bette Davis film ‘Jezebel’ made in 1938, I believe.
