President Donald Trump excoriated an NBC News correspondent as a “terrible reporter” on Friday after he asked the president to calm Americans who were scared because of the coronavirus pandemic.
NBC News’ Peter Alexander then asked Trump whether his “positive spin” regarding the potential treatments was giving Americans false hope.
“Is it possible that your impulse to put a positive spin on things may be giving Americans a false sense of hope?” Alexander asked.
“No I don’t think so,” Trump replied.
Alexander responded by asking Trump to talk directly to Americans who are scared by the pandemic, which triggered the president to reply with an insult.
“What do you say to Americans who are scared, millions who are scared right now?” Alexander asked.
“I say that you’re a terrible reporter,” Trump said. “That’s what I say. I think that’s a very nasty question.”
“You’re doing sensationalism,” Trump said.
Trump returned to the topic of media coverage later in the news conference, using another question from another reporter to levy an additional attack on Alexander.
"I’ve dealt with Peter for a long time," Trump said. "And I think Peter is not a good journalist."

I was listening on the radio to see if Rush was on (he’s not) and heard the entire press conference. Once Trump went off on a reporter, about 1/3rd of the questions were other butthurt reporters questioning Trump and the others on the podium about Trump bashing the reporter. Only 1/3rd of the questions in the press conference were even relevant. It was sickening. The media are so thin-skinned that they can’t handle a paper cut.
Saw this live and it was awesome. A “taken to the wood-shed” moment.

would be nice to see him say something along the lines of:
“You know- noone takes you people seriously anymore- because no matter what i do- you in the msm will try to make it look like I’m a racist, or that I’m incompetent- because that’s all you folks do- You obviously sit around all day thinking about how you can spin something to make me look racist or incompetent- I’ve done more for this country, for everyone, including minorities, than any past president has done- and you in the media can’t be bothered to acknowledge any of it! When you folks decide you want to do fair objective reporting, without a far left biased agenda- lemme know- I’ll take your questions seriously’’
I’m starting to have a greater understanding for Lincoln’s actions regarding the Press.
Oh, and then they kept trying to turn Pompeo into undercutting Trump while Trump was standing there beside him!

Notice that Peter and at least two, maybe three or four others in the room seemed to have coordinated that line of questioning with others repeating it or using it to segue into predictable BS about testing all 330,000,00 Americans at once.
There are scripts already written and ready at hand to frame whatever Trump does or says in a negative way.
Any MSM “reporter” is terrible.
Also slimy, bottom dwelling, full of excrement, pond scum, dung beetle, to name just of a few of N appropriate descriptors, where N is a very large number.

Even my wife LOVED it. Although she likes most of Trump's policies, she had become very negative about him because of the way he attacks people. Not that long ago, she told me she didn't think she would vote fore him again... she just wouldn't vote at all.,
This crisis has convinced her how important it is to have a strong leader. She thinks Trump is doing a fantastic job on this, and that these reporters are insulting, and deserving of his scorn.
I've enjoyed seeing her transformation.
