Two more senators made hefty stock sales before the coronavirus pandemic tanked global markets, records revealed as two other lawmakers who dumped millions in shares faced mounting calls to resign.
Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Jim Inhofe sold as much as $6.4 million worth of stock in the weeks before panic about the coronavirus sparked a worldwide selloff, according to disclosure filings first reported by the New York Times.
The additional revelations came amid widespread outrage toward GOP Sens. Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler, who reportedly sold shares after getting briefings on the coronavirus threat.

Kelly Loeffler already had it, that why she was appointed to the office, because she had her own money to be able to afford two more elections in the next couple of years. One election this year to fill the rest of Johnny Isakson's term and then another election after that for her own term. She has only been in the Senate just over six weeks.

Inhofe is running for re-election this fall. Primary June 30.

The woman senator from GA. has a GREAT pubbie opponent I want him to win anyway he fought tooth and nail during impeachment so GA. is safe.. where is Burr from?? Where is Inhoff from??
I want Collins also he has earned it lain and simple he was a pit bull during impeachment!!!
Collins has been my Congressman since 2012 and quietly worked his way up until busting on the scene opposing the stupid impeachment. I have been duly impressed and was pissed when our Governor passed over him to grab the money from this cheater, Loeffler.
BTW. In checking Wikipedia in order to get his first Congressional election year right, I stumbled over this fact: “The 9th is the most Republican district in the Eastern Time Zone”
That may explain why we went for Trump at 87%.
I hope it’s Collins vs. Loeffler and the rat is third, duh. Who the hell are the main rats? Joe Lieberman’s son and....Tarver (FOrmer US Attorney and State Sen)? No financial data on Tarver yet. R/R is possible with 2 strong rats. Then watch democrats suddenly decide being too conservative is much worse than “corruption” and do everything they can to defeat Collins.
Inhofe, is old as hell and shouldn’t be running.
Good news in NC if Burr is forced out, I don’t know exactly how they do it but rat Governor would have to appoint a Republican, and possibly since their primary is over the appointee could serve until 2022 with no special this year. That would really let me relax.
But really, I’m still waiting for someone to tell me that if they had “inside” knowledge that their investments were probably going to tank that they would just sit back and watch their money burn because that’s somehow morally correct. I cannot even wrap my head around that. That’s what you think these Senators should have done? Would any of you have done that?

The candidate in the GA special U.S. Senate election on whom national Democrats are counting is Raphael Warnock, the Senior Pastor at Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church (MLK, Jr.’s old bailiwick):
Warnock hasn’t posted fundraising numbers yet, but presumably he’ll be competitive.
I, too, want the two Republicans to finish 1-2. Whichever of the two win will be 180 degrees better than the Democrat, particularly in what likely will be a small Senate majority for us.
BTW, I think that the outrage at politicians who sold stock in late January or early February is silly; we all knew about the Coronavirus threat before then, and those of us who didn’t sell (myself included) bet on it not affecting the world evonomy as much as it has. And throw in the fact that those accused Senators had no control over their investment decisions and this is even more of a nothingburger.
Yeah, the Left has enough blood-splattered corpses laying their door- we don’t need to make up some stupid thing like this dumb stock-selling thing. It’s easy enough for us to after them for the real deal.
