I am virtually certain that my son had it and he was living with me at the time, back around Christmas. I think I got a small dose of it because I had a sore throat and a low grade fever. I have a very strong immune system. My fiance at the time, now my wife, got a sore throat, too, about the same as I did. We both did Tamiflu as a precaution.
My son felt so bad, he was treated for the flu, but the test came back negative. I know some in the local medical community who are now looking back saying that, about that time, there were a lot of folks around here treated for the flu that did not test positive for the flu. I think this virus has already swept through our North Alabama community without a lot of fanfare.

I would not bet I didn’t have it in January. I had what I would call a low grade cold but it lasted more than two weeks. Very runny nose but no congestion. A barely sore and scratchy throat. General malaise and fatigue. Not a set of symptoms I ever recall having before.
I believe this has been in the country since Dec. people have recovered thought they had the flu!!
