“...House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, D-Allegheny, called the elections a “disgraceful power grab” by Republicans...”

But yet, “House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, D-Allegheny”... sees NO “disgraceful power grab” by Governor Wolf jumping on the Corona-Corona-Corona bandwagon with his “executive authority”.

Just another hypocritical Dem POS.

Our beloved Nazional Socialist governor could have taken one more draconian executive action and postponed the elections at least until April (to coincide with the primary).

But he and his party didn’t want to because they hoped/figured they’d win at least 1 of the 3 elections and could claim “momentum!” and “referendum against Trump!”, “blue wave coming in November!” and all that bullshit.

They gambled, they lost as expected, and now they run crying to their sympathetic media scumbags.

“...House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, D-Allegheny, called the elections a “disgraceful power grab” by Republicans...”

And yet the Pennsylvania Supreme Court redistricting in favor of the
Democrats was justice...what a clown.

House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, D-Allegheny, called the elections a “disgraceful power grab” by Republicans and Turzai, and said the results don’t reflect fair elections.

A little spin doctoring here by the media . . . The governor and state house speaker set the special election dates in consultation together. While the house speaker went along with popular wisdom that there would be higher Democrat turnout due what looked like a competitive presidential race at the time, the governor was more than happy to go along because these were Republican seats at risk. He could have, but did not, delay them in his emergency declaration on Monday.

The state house speaker would not have objected because (1)he no longer held the high ground or even level ground and (2)the supposedly competitive April 28th primary was no longer looking even remotely competitive and more likely to draw Democrat voters.

The allegation that the state house speaker has sole authority to set special elections is pure bunk and deviates from reality.
