Here is a plan, although it most likely to late.
Scrap the income tax and go to a one time collected national retail sales tax.
Nothing is ever enough unless Nancy personally poops in it and gets a piece of the action.
pass the bill, then pass another one.
This, people, is not that hard.
Nancy has the TDS virus.
We are in a Liquidity Trap, have been for 12+ years
there are very few ways out, all bad
And when the inevitable default comes?
Lock up everybody in government at every level, all employees of the MSM, all academics, all residents of Hollywierd, and all their lawyers.
Yeh....my biggest concern is Little League.
As others have stated, the cure is fast becoming worse than the disease. We are now destroying our economy to save it.
Id go for that.
Maybe this is the monster that lets us scrap the unconstitutional Income Tax amendment.
Jim, these are intentional measures to accomplish what the elites and new world order folks have been trying to do politically for decades. They see their chance and are going for the jugular. Trump, in an election year, is helpless to defend the onslaught as the media is there 24/7 to blame him for his actions or inaction to address this manufactured crisis. The democratic governors are doing everything they can to shut down their state economies knowing the media can steer the people’s anger towards Trump. In addition, the precedent being established that your government is “Big Daddy” will be forever ingrained into the minds of the willing masses. I don’t see an exit strategy except praying that Mother Nature rescues us from the spread of this virus in time to halt the damage being done.
The solution is for everyone to snap out of it and get back to living their lives, but washing their hands better.
Anything else will be catastrophic.
You don’t really think they would do that, do you?
“we are intentionally turning the economy off to save lives and protect our future”
And exactly how does turning off the economy save our future?
This current version of the flu may be bad, but even at its worst projected result, would not turn off our economy.
I was in a local restaurant today and one of the owners was saying she was afraid to look at her phone because she was afraid she’d have to shut down immediately and she wanted to get the last few customers through. Florida has held the line, but now even Florida is caving to the hysteria. And Florida lives on small businesses and the hospitality industry.
This is insanity. I went into another shop owned by a woman born in Cuba who told me that this was exactly what it was like when communism started - a ban on public gatherings and the closing of restaurants and small businesses.
That said, big businesses are also hit. Marriott today announced that it was laying off tens of thousands of workers because it has no business.
And all for what? A media-generated panic. Although the hysterics are comparing it to the Spanish flu, its not like it in its spread, speed or even its lethality, and on top of that, medicine in 1919 was barely a science and most flu victims now would probably have received treatment and recovered from the Spanish flu. In addition to which, all our other vaccinations over our lifetimes probably do serve to strengthen our resistance to other viruses (which is why they are trying to derive a targeted vaccine from earlier flu viruses).
So for that we shut down the country and plunge ourselves into our own home-made Great Depression. Lots of luck recovering from that.
Totally agree.
“The democratic governors are doing everything they can to shut down their state economies knowing the media can steer the peoples anger towards Trump.”
We have a very good governor here in Florida, Ron DeSantis, and as of today he has been pressured into joining the pack. One of the problems is that we have a lot of Dem-mayor cities, so they started making their own proclamations and shutting down everything. So I guess he now feels that there’s nothing he can do and perhaps is trying to avoid the more extreme shut-downs.
But no matter what, it’s insanity and is directed at making us entirely subject to government.
Limiting public gatherings to 10 made my Diocese come out with a no public masses decree, but I think they should have resisted or we should have “guerilla masses” - let them haul us out handcuffed if they want.
