So I quickly skimmed the Santa Clara County order. Its cites Government Code sections 26602 and 41601 and Health and Safety Code section 101029, (which I probably wont read), and then ‘requests’ that sheriffs and law enforcement in the County ensure compliance. Any lawyers out there want to explain the legal authority of this ‘order’? Is it really enforceable, arbitrarily enforceable, or just wolves herding sheep?

I have posted on other threads that discouraging crowds is a reasonable action, and self isolating if you have any symptoms at all is the right thing to do. Using a flu to declare what is essentially martial law is something else altogether.

PS - for one night only, Weijia Jiang is not guilty. Ok, maybe a long weekend.
