Went out yesterday to a local dining spot talked to waitress who wondered why all the panic as she recalled the swine flu and knew the numbers involved then.
We agreed we need to be cautious but seeing stores here in Fla empty out faster than hurricane prep shows how easily minds can be manipulated vs the reality of mortality rates due to the flu or in the above case the “ protected nature” of the Obama years.
The media has its story to attract attention and subtley dig at trump while he masterly exposes the weaknesses of government control.

The reason people are terrified is because this virus is being run by a bunch of Trump hating screaming women and their collared dogs at CNN. Even President Trump has been muzzled into going along with we are all going to die if we don’t have a trunk full of TP rather than a level headed approach. This is another flu bug which is going to be over in two to three months but you are going to have the usual sickness and deaths of the flu bugs in the past. Last year 80,000 died from the flu in the US and over a half million worldwide. Imagine if this hyped up disease kills a fraction of that number?
This hype and scare tactics by the MSM is latest Trump impeachment attempt by the Democrats. They are screaming FIRE in a theater. It won’t work. The Coronavirus is not the destruction force, it’s the panic.
Why wasn’t the N1H1 virus hyped like the CV? Why isn’t the annual flu hyped like the CV? The initial numbers are worse for the N1H1 virus and the annual flu than CV. Why is there no hype each year for the flu as there is for the CV. As more tests are done and more people test positive and recover the mortality rate will decrease.
CV mortality rate in US has declined from 2.6% on 3/10 to 1.96% right now 3/15. Over 75% of deaths classified as from CV were to the elderly with complicating medical conditions. 50% were in one nursing home and 80% are in one state. As more tests are done I predict mortality will decline to about 1.1%. Exercise good hygiene, don’t panic and we will be fine.
Dr Fauci, awarded a medal by Obama...we cannot overlook that. Remember, leftists get awarded before they accomplish their big things. Obama’s clearly was using a metaphorical wrecking ball. Saudi’s? Don’t know. But I did hear the U.S.government (not PDJT, but rather the deep state within) hired out break managers in November? And this, about pandemic simulations? Oh, it’s GP, so it’s crazy and we’ll pretend we didn’t see it.
Bill Gates is off some boards so he and wifey can work on big global things. He and Soros are the same person, Gates just does a better act.
To conclude my rant -and thank you for listening - tomorrow, Monday 3-16-20, will be a test, much like Ground Hog day...but this is real. The market manipulators and the virus released and spread are two halves of a whole nefarious plan...the market, each time it tries to rise, is systematically pounded down by shorting programs. PDJT does not seem inclined to reinstate the uptick rule, so he is trusting us to beat them. That says a lot...if these leftists are defeated tomorrow and the market ends up way up, then I believe this thing is soon finished...including 24/7 virus coverage.

I got so mad Friday at all this, my wife and I went and sat in at out fave Chinese restaurant and had a lovely meal. Service was stellar.
Always enjoyed GFR. You could tell it was them with their opening guitar riff on several songs. Captain, My Captain, a great “ build “ song it lures you into the story and gets stronger as it progresses.
Music as it was, not garbled , shouting and nonsensical lyrics.

Perhaps it’s because of our DNA attachment, but your post mimics my experience quite close.
Mine was in late October, early November, as I recall.
I dutifully got my flu shot as I have every year but the guy at Walgreens said, as he stuck the needle in, that people over 65 were getting a little stronger shot this year than others.
For a few days I was fine but as you described, I got, well it wasn’t the flu but it was about five days of clogged up lungs and pain.
Odd. It was so very odd but coming so close to the flu shot I must assume it was a result of the shot.
I wasn’t sick enough to go to the doctors but something just wasn’t right.
I look back and I wonder.
The CDC.....what a big waste time that agency is.

Long-term effects will include even fewer movie theaters, since marginal movie releases will not warrant sitting in a cloth recliner that may or may not have been wiped down since the last user sat there, more reliance on on-line classrooms, and very hopefully....
More reliance on American manufacturing to deliver stuff to Americans, and less reliance on people who don't like us to make our cell phones, medicines, cheap plastic crap that we buy from end-caps in stores, and cheap clothing.
This country spent most of the 20th century eradicating or mitigating most diseases that had plagued mankind for centuries. Then, our enlightened ivy league leadership let those diseases walk back across our southern border so we have to start over again. Common sense might become common again. Maybe.
