My 15 year old granddaughter wants to be an orthopedic surgeon. She is in the honors program at school and watches surgeries on YouTube, etc. Online is the wave of the future.

Having worked at a major Harvard teaching hospital for 20+ years I can guarantee your granddaughter that watching surgical procedures on youtube just won't cut it (pun absolutely intended).I can also guarantee her that should she be admitted to medical school (which,by your description, seems distinctly possible) the only time she'll spend on line will be to research articles from professional journals (JAMA,NEJM,etc, etc) for classroom assignments and while on clinical clerkships.
