Excellent point. A few days ago I suggested that it wouldn't be surprising if Bernie ended his campaign before the next debate.

No way in hell does the DNC want Biden in a one-on-one debate on TV for two hours -- even if his opponent is a pile of rocks.

Here's my next prediction: Sanders ends his campaign by citing some kind of health-related issue that is designed to minimize the outrage among his supporters. He may even keel over and collapse right there on TV today to help make the point. :-P

I’m dreaming of a two-hour Biden/Trump debate.

I am not sure it will be as much of an embarrassment for Biden as we are hoping. He will spout his talking points on every question (e.g. "I was the guy who …", "Look, here's the deal...", "How dare you accuse me when …"), etc.

Bernie never wanted to win. His tone and attitude started shifting downward after it looked like he had it in the bag. Now the DNC has made him an offer he can’t refuse in order to keep Biden from the debate stage this weekend. It would have been the end.
