A round of layoffs has hit two Telemundo units morning show Un Nuevo Día and Telemundo Deportes.
According to sources, at least six people were cut from the morning show. Among them, a writer, an editor and producers, including L.A.-based Paco Haro, who coordinated live shots and produced for the shows three west-coast reporters.
The number of job losses in the sports division is less clear, but according to one source, they may be slightly larger than those experienced by Un Nuevo Día.
A company spokesperson would not confirm the number of layoffs, but issued the following the statement about the job cuts:

As my wife likes to watch Univision, I noticed something very interesting.
They are starting to show series made in Turkey, and dubbed into Spanish, whereas before they produced their own shows.
Less illegals in the LA area?
So less Telemundo units/tv shows?
Telemundo is deporting people?

Finally, I came up on an animated show and was very impressed with the quality. Then the camera zoomed in on one of the kids in the animation and I could make out the name tag on his school uniform . . . in Japanese. I had been slow to recognize it because the sound was dubbed in Arabic.
I will say the women on these Turkish shows are hot.
Some are made in Brazil - the dubbing is a little closer to Spanish.
From what I saw of the Middle East, probably the most beautiful women in that part of the world . . . after the Israelis. The Lebanese weren’t bad either when it was mostly Druze and Christian, but they’ve since been overrun by malcontents.
when they keep the talking heads but cut the “brains” behind the content, the shows become even more filled with brainless yammer ...
