There are literally dozens of different illnesses that cause sniffles cough and fever circulating now. There would be no way to differentiate between these at an airport.

Italy and Trump:
Just my take. Shutting down travel between the U.S. and Europe is going to meet a lot of resistance from the establishment and probably the business community as well.
But as things progress I’m thinking he will be strongly advised to do so by the CDC folks. If they do I expect Trump to do so, perhaps for some significant exceptions.

FR is quickly becoming unusable on this topic with all the naysayers and conspiracy theories (”it’s all just to get Trump!” - like, Italy would quarantine their ENTIRE COUNTRY to do that. Sure.) Reddit and their mostly (way) younger audience, for God’s sake is actually more sensible and focused on this than FR. When would you expect THAT to happen?
