Somebody better get on this shit and pronto. Schools around here were closed for “cleaning” today as a “transportation” worker is suspected of being infected. We’re in very rural VT.

Everyone of those people who were in Italy are treated as possibly exposed if they show up at a hospital...and so are their contacts!
Is England banning flights from Italy or is daily mail just virtue signaling?

We should have locked down all flights from Italy and S. Korea once the outbreaks were identified there.
I can’t fathom why Trump didn’t make that call. Closing only ONE barn door (China) while leaving open two barn doors (Italy, S. Korea) may have been the singular most stupid thing he’s ever done.
In the meantime, Israel is quarantining EVERY SINGLE PERSON flying into their country from the outside for 14 days.
When Israel is making better decisions than the US Government, something is not right.
Are people here able to fly sick relatives from Italy to the U.S.? We can’t be that stupid.
I have been calling for limiting flights to and from Italy for some time. It's a tough decision for Trump. I think he will put it off but in the end he will close that other barn door.
And just for general info. Right now in the U.S. we have identified about the number of cases that Italy had identified 15 DAYS AGO. And our new infection rate is running higher than it is in Italy. Not good.
yeah I get that. But the only “screening” that would work is immediate testing of all returning, and a 3 week quarantine. And that’s not going to happen.

Evidently so. I read an article last week about an American student who was studying in Italy. She had just returned to the states (New York).
She was amazed that she was simply waved through upon arrival. No one bothered to ask her any questions about her health, or where she had been in Italy.
I flatly and bluntly do not believe that no one is checking them at some point in their travels.
Sorry this would not have been missed. China is checking people walking down sidewalks with thermal sensors now.
I know people who are flying now and they are all being asked questions every time they get on a plane.
