The Trump administration will deploy 160 active-duty soldiers to two cities adjacent the U.S.-Mexico border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Friday said it would deploy 80 active-duty soldiers to San Diego's San Ysidro border and 80 troops to El Paso's Paso del Norte bridge as soon as Saturday to aid customs officials at entry points, according to USA Today.
The decision comes as the administration requests the Supreme Court to uphold the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) or "Remain in Mexico" policy after a lower federal district court in California ruled against the plan last April, saying it violates international human rights values and the U.S. immigration law, The Hill previously reported.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit supported the lower court's ruling on Feb. 28, and narrowed the order to apply to California and Arizona, and to go into effect March 12.
The border agency announced that the ruling from the 9th Circuit guided the decision to send soldiers to the two border ports, "providing military police support, engineer, and aviation support," according to U.S. Customs.

The judge who wrote this is Richard Seeborg, born in Landstuhl, Germany of parentage that no one seems to be able to find. Could be military parents who were stationed there, but not known.

Yes, I believe he will lose the popular vote again, possibly by 3%. I think Biden is a tough opponent, and we should not underestimate the Dem machine. The EV will be close, but it is too early to tell. I am more confident of the popular vote margin. We will see.

I am not sure it is as much of a deal breaker as we like to think here. Especially if it stays at the level of gaffs and creepy behavior, particularly against someone as flawed temperamentally as his opponent. We shall see.

Biden is in no way going to win. His kid is about to be supeanaed, the videos of him fondling children are fodder for Trump, and Joe needs to be parodied like Gerald Ford was by Chevy Chase, only with him, you can use real videos, then caption “Hey Democraps! You honestly think this is an upgrade to Trump? This guy couldn’t operate a crossword puzzle little less run a country.”

Maybe so, I was already married when I enlisted and turned 22 in Basic Training. After being laid off in the economic downturn with the recession following the Arab oil embargo, I didn’t need an added enticement.
