Veneration ≠ worship This Saturday evening and Sunday the Orthodox Church celebrates Orthodoxy Sunday, recalling the restoration of Icons in the eighth century. Thy pure image do we venerate, O good One, asking forgiveness of our sins, O Christ our God; for by Thine own will Thou didst ascend the Cross in Thy body, to save Thy creatures from the bondage of the enemy. Thou hast verily filled all with joy, since Thou didst come, O our Savior, to save the world. https://ccel.org/ccel/damascus/icons/icons?queryID=1584755&resultID=970

Veneration ≠ worship Chapter and verse from Scripture??

“Veneration=worship”
You bow down to, pray to, and ask of divine favors from your god and the your idols, so besides the wording what’s the difference?
Something you idol worshipers never want to talk about is that Holy Scripture also includes bowing down to and SERVING as worship.
The minute you bow down, kiss, or pray to that idol you are serving it, 1 Kings 19:18, Exodus 20:5, Matthew 4:8-11. You can play all the word games you want to, but you can’t dodge the SERVE game.
That makes you guilty of idol worship no matter what word you call it by.
